1. Overall purpose - why would someone use Fit Shop and the Chrome Consultant Role at Thunderbird?

The Fit Shop can be used for any type of rider. For the stay in town cruiser to the out of town touring bike, it's all about comfort. If you are out riding on a motorcycle that isn't comfortable, you are not going to have a good time. With the Fit Shop we can physically have you try out different changes to "fit" the bike to you the most comfortably. We know that little changes can make all the difference in your riding pleasure.

Our Chrome Consultant will not only help you with fit, but also with style. We know that Harley-Davidson® rider's want to make the bike his/her own and the Chrome Consultant will help with customizing a customer's bike to his/her style. If it's skulls, chrome, or even bling - if you can think it up - our Chrome Consultant will help make it happen.

2. What can the customer do with the Fit Shop?

The Fit Shop consists of a Fat Boy that has changeable parts. We have 5 seat styles, 6 handlebar styles, and a suspension simulator to try out. By changing these options for leverage, ride height, and foot position, we can make sure that you will have the comfort and confidence to keep you out riding for the long haul.

3. When can you try out the Fit Shop or work with the Chrome Consultant?

You can also check out the Thunderbird dealership 7 days a week - the Fit Shop is available during all hours of operation.

4. What are the benefits of making changes to your motorcycle?

The great thing about the Fit Shop and customization are the wide range of results that can be acquired. For the shorter rider who may be having trouble sitting with his/her feet flat footed on the ground or having trouble reaching for the bars, we can demonstrate how easily we can change out a seat to push your forward and drop you down for better control or change the handlebars for easier access. For the taller rider that may feel cramped on his/her motorcycle, we can show you how a taller handlebar and different seat can stretch you out or how a different foot position can change your comfort level. Ultimately, these changes are designed to make you more relaxed on the road and more comfortable.
